I have been photographing since I was ten years old and have worn down many films, analog cameras's and dark rooms. Digital photography gives me the opportunity to make visible what would otherwise remain hidden in the stream of visual impressions. I prefer to bring reality back to an abstraction. Beauty is all around us and even though everyone can look, not everyone can see. Photography has taught me to look more and to see more. In lines, colors and shadows I see rhythm and beauty. I have exhibited my work several times, and published three books (with Blurb - you can order them there).I am also a lecturer at the Department of Social and Cultural Psychology at the Radboud University Nijmegen. I am a graduate and have a PhD in Cultural Psychology, and have specialized in youth and youth culture.
